What is ‘Art Deco’?
Art Deco is a design style that dates back as early as the 1920s. It might also be called ‘Style Moderne’. Fast forward to the 1930s, Art Deco architecture and decoration became a massive hit in European countries and the United States of America. Originating in Paris, it has stood the test of time and has become a heavily adapted approach to art and creativity.
The intention of Art Deco styling is to exhibit modernism and sleekness. The early 1900s were a gateway for new rules of design, which saw many people divert from the norm of the day.
