What is ‘Art Deco’?
Art Deco is a design style that dates back as early as the 1920s. It might also be called ‘Style Moderne’. Fast forward to the 1930s, Art Deco architecture and decoration became a massive hit in European countries and the United States of America. Originating in Paris, it has stood the test of time and has become a heavily adapted approach to art and creativity.
The intention of Art Deco styling is to exhibit modernism and sleekness. The early 1900s were a gateway for new rules of design, which saw many people divert from the norm of the day. There are no limits in terms of production when it comes to Art Deco. Products can be made in both mass quantities and also limited to more luxury quantities.
